The Renovation Specialists LLC, formerly known as P & L Construction, have been serving the Raleigh area for the past 40 years.  Rick Parker, CGR,CAPS, who has over 42 years experience in the construction industry, owns and manages The Renovation Specialists.

We understand that your home is an investment and personal retreat.  It is our goal to offer a minimum of stress and disruption to your daily life while providing professional  attention to each job.  We provide the highest quality and workmanship for a full range of projects, from remodeling kitchens and bathrooms, to building additions, to whole house renovations.  We employ talented and qualified craftsmen who take pride in their work

We are members of The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), The Home Builders Association of Raleigh-Wake County (HBA), The Remodelers Council of Raleigh-Wake County (RMC), The Green Home Builders of the Triangle (GHBT), and The 50+ Housing Council.  In 2004, 2005, 2015 and 2018 Rick was the Chairman of Remodelers Home Tour and in 2006 he was the Remodelers Council Chairman.  In 2007 he became a Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS) and in 2008 a Certified Graduate Remodeler (CGR).  In 2008, 2010, 2011 and 2014 Rick was the Chairman of The STAR Awards (Showcasing Triangle Achievements in Remodeling).

We have won 23 STAR Awards over the last 14 years with the first two occurring in 2006. We then won one in 2008 and 2009, two in 2010, three in 2011, five in 2012, one in 2013, two in 2014, two in 2015, two in 2016 and most recently two in 2017.  We also won the 2010 Capital Area Preservation’s Anthemion Award for Commercial Rehabilitation and Adaptive Reuse and in 2005 Rick was named the Remodelers Council Outstanding Remodeler of the Year.

Over 80% of our sales come from additional projects of previous and existing clients and new clients from referrals.  We feel this is the best testament to the caliber and value of the services we offer.  Our philosophy is that we are a “service provider” first, and secondly, a residential renovation company that operates in the construction industry.
